[Paraview] Fwd: texture dropdown disabled, can't set texture on polygonal mesh

Thanks for the tip David!

I used the "Texture Map To Sphere" filter, which kind of worked. However,
the texture mapping is not happening correctly, as you can see from the
attached screenshot. The image is mangled.

Here is the image I am using:

I also tried one with the coordinates shifted, as in this tutorial (
http://www.earthmodels.org/data-and-tools/topography/paraview-topography-by-texture-mapping),
but it didn't make a difference, still mangled.

Do you have any suggestions on how to overcome this?
