[Paraview] "X Error: BadMatch" when loading state file with OpenGL2 rendering on Fedora 18

I have been seeing flackiness with X with OpenGL2 too .. things like
the pvserver windows taking forever to startup with pvserver. Haven't
dug in much, but thought i'd mention.
