[Paraview] Cut plane average velocity over time

Dear all,

I am working with 3D velocity fields over time. I would like to extract average velocity values at given cut planes. Preferably, I would like to be able to plot the average velocity of this plane over time.

For a single point on the plane I can choose "Select Points On" and then "PlotSelectionOverTime", but I would like to get an average over an entire cut plane (over time).

Does anyone know how to do that?
