[Paraview] Using VTK/Utilities/Verdict element metrics in ParaView

I would like to use the Verdict element metrics in ParaView, but I am not
sure how to use them through the ParaView interface. Specifically, I want
to compute the edge lengths if an unstructured grid. This seems to be
possible using the verdict function 'V_edge_metric' which is in the VTK
utilities library.

Any help, or pointers to the correct documentation would be greatly
appreciated.
