Hi,

I found out that, this problem is due to conflicts in my ./bashrc file.  This is not a paraview issue.  I need to find a way to fix the conflicts in my .bashrc.

Thanks!

Pei-Ying

Subject: segmentation fault - revisit

Dear Paraview experts,

I was having issues with ParaView-3.98.  Now, I found some interesting clues.  It will be appreciated if someone can shed some light on this.

I downloaded ParaView3.98 binary version.  When I ran it  as an user, I received the following:

phsieh at jali:~/paraview/ParaView-3.98.1-Linux-64bit/bin> ./paraview
ERROR: In /home/utkarsh/Dashboards/MyTests/NightlyMaster/ParaViewSuperbuild-Release/paraview/src/paraview/VTK/GUISupport/Qt/vtkEventQtSlotConnect.cxx, line 68
vtkEventQtSlotConnect (0x1939110): Cannot connect NULL objects.

Segmentation fault
--------------------------------

However, if I log in as root and run paraview from the bin folder, paraview starts without any problem.

Am I missing some folder in my
 PATH?
