[Paraview] Non-blocking pipeline updates

Hello,

when I use ParaView in CAVE mode with more complex models / visualizations
it often happens, that pipeline updates block the whole application. This
freezes the displayed images on the screen which is very bad in a
head-tracked environment, where the image needs to be updated around 60
times per second. 

Now, I found this post
http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/arb/2010-May/000094.html and the related
bug report http://www.vtk.org/Bug/view.php?id=9983. I guess that this
feature would overcome the blocking pipeline updates in the CAVE mode.
Unfortunately, this bug has been expired. Are there any plans to re-open it.
I would really appreciate it...
