[Paraview] how do I get data object from within a dock widget?

Hello,

I am writing a custom application based on ParaView, and I am trying to figure out how to access a data object from with a custom dock widget.

Specifically, I want to read field data from the loaded file, and display it in the custom widget…  I have used the Information widget as a guide, but it doesn't actually access the data object, just the information objects.

Can someone please tell me how to go about accessing the field data object?
