[Paraview] How to find out what tick-boxes change in the execution of underlying vtk-filters?

Dear mailing list members,


Using paraview's contour filter and switching off "Generate Triangles" creates a 
slightly different surface mesh that does not contain non-manifold edges. 
However vtkMarchingCubes does not seem to have any option concerning 
triangulation. How can I find out what the switch "Generate Triangles" in the 
GUI changes, i.e. how underlying vtk-filters are called differently?
When I searched through the paraview sources for the string "Generate Triangles" 
I didn't get any fitting hits.

Any help or hints are very much appreciated
