[Paraview] PV 3.6.1 Mac OSX Plugin error: "Cannot set parent, new parent is in a different thread"

[Maxwell, Thomas P. (GSFC-606.2)[SCIENCE APPLICATIONS INTL CORP]]

I have build ParaView 3.6.1 under Mac OSX.  I have created a simple GUI plugin for a data reader.   The paraview client seems to run fine, but when it imports the plugin I get the error: " Cannot set parent, new parent is in a different thread ".   Any suggestions on debugging this?
