[Paraview] 64 bits Windows version

Great that we will get a 64 bits Windows version for the next release.
My grid is unstructured and has approximately 17 million cells. It is
written as an ASCII .vtk file. The file is 2.6 GB. The exact error
message is:

ERROR: In c:\berk\releasebuilds\paraview3\vtk\common\vtkDataArrayTemplate.txx, line 312
vtkIdTypeArray (06F4DE28): Unable to allocate 137314503 elements of size 4 bytes
""

I had then run Paraview 3.2.1 on an HP machine with two quad-core Xeon
processors, 16 GB RAM and 64 bits Windows.

If do the same with ParaView 3.3.1 on my 32 bits PC with 2GB RAM I get
the same error message, but additionally the following:

Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing
exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must
reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.
""

Yes, I will try to make a 64 bit Windows binary for next release. Can
you be more specific about the allocation errors. What kind of grid?
What kind of filters are you using? Any other relevant information...
I am trying to figure out whether you are running out of memory
because of fragmentation issues or something else.
