[Paraview] newbie: OpenFOAM reader, empty view window

Hello,

    I'm a complete newbie here, so excuse my questions:

How do I make OpenFOAM reader read the entire case, and so fill the
timeStep property list, so I can animate later on?

Also, when reading a .vtk file, my view window shows nothing(just black
background) when I call for StillRender(). I then write the file in .png
format, the window then appears only briefly (I barely noticed) and when
i call StillRender(), data appears in the view. I'm battling with it for
a while now, i've gone over the scripting part of the book,and still
don't know what is wrong.


I'm running OpenSUSE 11, 32 bit and Paraview 3-3-cvs that came with the
OpenFOAM installation. I've built it with python support.
