[Paraview] Newbie question about simulation

An end-to-end analysis using a simulation usually requires the use of at least three tools.  A meshing (and/or CAD) tool provides the basic structure, parameters, and initial conditions on which to perform the simulation.  The simulation tool of course estimates physical measurements that would be produced by physical phenomenon.  The visualization tool provides analysis and querying of the data outputted from the simulation.
