[Paraview] I have some questions about paraview-dev

Hi everyone,
    I have some questions about Paraview.
    I am trying to develop a visualization system with VTK, which will use
the mechanism of Paraview. So I want to know where I should start and may
the book of The Paraview Guide will help. I have downloaded the Paraview
Source - ParaView3.2.1, but I don not know how to use it. Should I read all
the code or part of it? If I want to develop the similar software with
Paraview ,which part is the most important?
    I am a novice about Visualization and Paraview , I am looking for your
help.
