[Paraview] VTK_MAKE_INSTANTIATOR

I've created a class deriving from vtkMultiGroupDataSet and I want to be able to use it with my filters/sources.  I have seen in the documentation (http://www.vtk.org/doc/nightly/html/classvtkInstantiator.html) that you can use the CMake macro - VTK_MAKE_INSTANTIATOR().  I cannot work out how to use this.  Can anyone help?
