[Paraview] FileListDomain causes a stringvector to disappear from the GUI

Actually, what you want is already supported, and the best way to do it is by 
adding a hint.

 <SourceProxy name="name" class="vtkname">
 ...
     <Hints>
       <Property name="FileName" show="1"/>
     </Hints>
 </SourceProxy>
