I have a TecPlot Reader that I've integrated into our visualization tool ezViz (http://daac.hpc.mil/ezviz) . It reads TecPlot Binary files and creates vtkStructuredGrids, that are all appended into a large Unstructured Grid (I'm working with an AMR multizone mesh).

I see no Tecplot reader or writer in VTK. Without the basic implementation, ParaView cannot write in this format.

I have cc'ed the paraview mailing list to see if anyone else out there knows of a tecplot writer that was never contributed back to VTK or ParaView.

Hi Ken,

Is it possible to read Ensight Gold file from paraview and save as a Tecplot file? If so where l can find the modules for Tecplot.
Thanks

Dear Ken,

I tried reverserse connnection but pvserver at local node cannot locate client
machine. I also talked with system admin and it seems that neither incomming
nor outgoing connections are possible at the local nodes. I wonder whether you
have any other suggestion. May be use of frontal machine.

Best wishes,

Mehmet

Konu : RE: RE: [Paraview] parallel paraview

You can use the reverse connection (-rc) option on both pvserver and pvclient
to

tell ParaView to connect from server to client. In this case you will also need
to

add the --client-host option to pvserver to tell where to connect to.
