[Paraview] Slow Render

Hi,

I am running Linux, Fedora core 6.  I am experiencing painfully slow 
refresh of the display, especially the file menus, checkboxes, etc... 
when using paraview. I am able to run other 3d programs with great 
(fast) results.  The problem seems to have something to do with the 
graphics widgets paraview uses for display, rather than anything related 
to the 3d.  Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone have a 
suggestion for something to try?
