[Paraview] Large .vtp file crashes PV3

Hey folks,

I have a large c.370MB .vtp file written using the XML format. It  
opens, albeit after a while, in Paraview 2.6.2 on both my PowerPC and  
Intel Macs, but I've tried opening it in 3.0.1 on two different Intel  
Macs and it just crashes Paraview.

Is there anything known about an issue like this?
