Hi Micke,
>> Is there some way to alter the probe function so that you retrive nodal
results and not results at coordinates interpolated by paraview?
Use the "data analysis filter" that you'll be able to select the "query
method" among cell, point (interpolated), line, cell id and point id.
>> Is there some way to see local node/element numbers in paraview?
>From my knowledge, only the node (point) numbers... You'll find the checkbox
in the Display tab labeled as "Label Point Ids" but, take care, if your
model is big you'll experience PV running really slower with this checkbox
enabled and it'll not be possible to distinguish the nodes since you'll only
see a cloud of numbers. By the way, PV will number the nodes in a C style
ordering starting from the 0 up to the number of nodes -1, in other words,
PV will introduces an offset of -1 in your node numbers (if I'm wrong here,
please, someone correct me).
Hope it helps you
Regards

Assunto: [Paraview] probe function for FE evaluation
I use Paraview to evaluate FE results. I convert my results to Ensight
format.
Is there some way to alter the probe function so that you retrive nodal
results and not results at coordinates interpolated by paraview?
Is there some way to see local node/element numbers in paraview?
Should I use som other format when I import my results to achive this?
Kind regards,
Micke
