[Paraview] F1-Help-Menue-Error using ParaView on a LiveCD

Hi list members,

I'm trying to build a LiveCD (Debian Etch) with Paraview 3.2.1 on it.
The program starts and works on this LiveCD without any problem. Only
when I try to start the help menue (F1 or Help>Help) I get the error
message:

Help error
Couldn't find pqClient.adp.
Try setting the PARAVIEW_HELP environment variable which points to that
file.

File permissions of the whole program-directory are set to "rw(x)" for
all. The owner of this directory and the user of the program are the
same. So wrong file/dir permissions can't IMHO be the reason.

When I start the help menue manually with
"$ paraview-3.2-1-Linux-x86/bin/assistant -profile
paraview-3.2-1-Linux-x86/lib/paraview-3.2/pqClient.adp"
the help menue appears without problems.

Even if I run the command
"$ chown -R <myuser>:<mygroup> paraview-3.2-1-Linux-x86"
before I start paraview there are no problems with the help menue.
But this is a bad idea on a LiveCD because the result of this command
costs over 100MByte of RAM.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Regards,
Sebastian

(I 'm using the binary Linux package from
http://www.paraview.org/files/v3.2/paraview-3.2.1-Linux-x86.tar.gz)
