[Paraview] client/server display problem

Yes, I think so.

You mean: if you connect from a pvclient on your laptop to a pvserver on 
the cluster, then it works?
That would make sense because then the connection is initiated by the 
client, not the remote server. I think, the other way round does not work.

No. On our system paraview runs with mpirun without offscreen rendering.

(I even could not compile paraview with the mangled Mesa library. Don't 
know why.)
