Mike,

Yes, I've built it and run it on the MacBook.

I've built stable releases 2.4.2 and 2.4.3. (Release 2.4.2 was getting
the following run-time error, and 2.4.3 was not:

    In <paraview_src>/VTK/Rendering/vtkXOpenGLRenderWindow.cxx, line 347
vtkXOpenGLRenderWindow (0x1ebc69b0): Could not find a decent visual)

The first time I ran 2.4.3, I got a seg. fault creating a cut plane for
a 3d, hierarchical fractal I'd created from the "Source" menu, but I
haven't seen it since. (I've run it on the order of 10 times, both as a
single process on the mac, and as a client in both serial and parallel
client-server runs.)

See http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/~hudson/ParaView/paraview.html for
screen shots of the 3 pages of CMake parameters.
