[Paraview] help: One input problem in Linux

Hello all,
I installed ParaView2.4 in RedHat Linux9.0.
But it can not be input words into any input box from the keyboard. I have been having this problem since I began to use ParaView from version1.4 to version2.4.
Who can tell me how to cope with it?
