[Paraview] Problem with Line Probe Filter in Paraview 2.4.3

I have data from a CFD code with a highly stretched mesh having very thin 
cells close to a solid boundary, to capture steep gradients in the flowfield 
boundary layer. I need to extract 1D graphs of variables in the boundary 
layer, from a 3D mesh or 2D slice. I find that Line Probe (in ParaView 
2.4.3) misses gradients near the wall despite increasing the line 
resolution. I need the Line Probe to plot actual cell-centered values from 
the data, rather than interpolating. Are there any ways to do this?
