[Paraview] Ensight Gold File reader - parallel

1) I am loadiing an ensight gold file (.case) while running paraview in
parallel (client/server mode) through MPI. Paraview seems to use the
EnsightMasterServerReader though the file is not in master server(.sos)
format and partition the file across the different processes in the
mpirun. Is this the default behavior?  The following is the entry of the
.case file:

type:  ensight gold
GEOMETRY
model: mqt_room_1_58M.geo
VARIABLE
scalar per node: pressure                  mqt_room_1_58M.scl1
scalar per node: velocity-magnitude        mqt_room_1_58M.scl2
vector per node: velocity                  mqt_room_1_58M.vel
-----------------------------------------------------------------

2) Is there a limitation on the size of the file with regard to the
available memory in the node?
