[Paraview] Beginner Question (Tutorial for scripting Paraview)

Hi
Is there any tutorial or describtion avaliable how to
bring a script into paraview?
e.g. I want to insert a button on the toolbar within=20
paraview (I read about a xml-file that can do that)
If I press the button I want to load some .vtk files=20
(foo1.vtk, foo2.vtk, foo3.vtk....)
that it looks like a animation.
I have done this in c++ before and want to do it with
paraview now
How can I assign a scirpt to the on-click event to
implement that feature?
