I see your point, but a flag that showed how they are marked in the file
(even if Paraview doesn't use them) could still make sense, no? I often use
Paraview to simply inspect the contents of a file (not necessarily to
display anything).

Another thing, what about a flag specifying if the Data Array is on the
PointData or CellData?
