[Paraview-developers] Moving to hdf5-1.8.x

everything is working in my local git repo

I was wondering about having an official git clone of the hdfgroup svn repo, then we can add it as an external rather than copy it all in.

I'll talk to them about it asap

What is the status of hdf5 1.8.x integration into ParaView? I am
trying to make an estimate for 3.8.1. Following our email
conversation, we had originally planned this change for 3.8.1. Do you
think that's sill doable or should be delay that until 3.10?
