[Midas] turn off navigation

Hi,

Is there a way to present our midas site with no navigation
elements (at left of page) unless the user is logged in? Currently
it is possible to click users and feed for example, and see the names
of registered users (which we dont for security reasons).  Id like
the site locked down until a user logs in.
