Hi GT,
The Voting image filters have effects similar to propagation
proportional to curvature.
You may want to give it a try at the examples:
Insight/Examples/Filtering
VotingBinaryHoleFillingImageFilter.cxx
VotingBinaryIterativeHoleFillingImageFilter.cxx
