[Insight-users] Warning for KdTree::Search()

Hi all,

I've noticed yesterday that the search for nearest neighbors does not 
work reliably, at least in my test case: I've got a large number 
(>100.000) of 3D points in the tree, and if I query the 1 nearest 
neigbhors for a point that is itself part of the tree, the returned 
neighbor sometimes is a different point with a distance noticeably 
larger than zero. Even querying the 3 nearest neighbors does not always 
include the correct closest point. So be careful if you use this method 
to generate statistics!
