[Insight-users] Submission: Texture calculation classes

Hello all,

I've finished work on a set of classes for computing texture
descriptions from N-dimensional scalar images.

These classes compute grey-level co-occurence matrices -- which measure
pairwise pixel intensity combinations at various offsets -- and texture
descriptors derived from those matrices (a la Haralick 79).

Texture (as calculated by these classes) has recently been used quite
successfully as a descriptive feature for classification of medical and
biological images, in addition to its storied history elsewhere in
image analysis.

I think that they would be useful for inclusion in ITK, given that over
this list there have been several recent requests for ways of getting
at textural information.

Thanks,
Zach Pincus
