take a look at the following dir:
Insight/InsigthDocuments/CoursWare/Training
in this dir you find some very helpful information on how to
successfully build itk.
mainly the tutorial.pdf helped me a lot.
i'm not sure if this folder is part of the downloadable itk version, so
maybe you
have to get the cvs version. how to du a cvs checkout is explained on
the
itk download homepage.

I do not understand how software programming works. Naturally, I did not
succed in transforming all what I downoaded CMake, ITK... into
executable programs despite my efforts. This was not a surprise to me.
Can somebody help me acquire exe application programs of ITK or give
details for a novice like me how to do it (step by step on a windows
platform with visual studio 6.0).
It will be a great help to me.
