[Insight-developers] GDCM broken in ITKV4 with respect to DTI and > 3D files

I've detailed the issue I ran into here:

I would just do the old 'find a bug, fix it' thing, but this is
complicated because it's a regression in the GDCM version we include with
ITK.  Theoretically, you could use gdcm::SerieHelper's user defined
comparison method, but there isn't an access method to set that user
pointer -- I guess you're supposed to derive a new class from
gdcm::SerieHelper that uses a method other than sorting by image position.


In other words, to get back to the ITKv3 behavior would involve
considerable hacking around with the itk::GDCMSeriesFileNames class.

But people should know that they can't read Dicom DTI or >3D images with
GDCM.
