[Insight-developers] ImageIO::ReadBufferAsASCII and WriteBufferAsASCII do not handle signed and unsigned chars correctly

Hello Luis,
This is the code I wrote for the reader:

TComponent *ptr = buffer;

Yes, some kind of version stamp would be good. Actually specifying what is written in the header is well beyond what is known in the ImageIOBase. However the is the Meta Dictionary, that some ( any one know how many? ) write out, it wouldn't be too hard to add an ITK version to that. However the ImageIOBase, is rather feature bloated at the moment f so I would be reluctant to add more.
