[Insight-developers] renaming : MetaImageViewer ----> ImageViewer

Hi,

The MetaImageViewer is at this point the
best viewer available in the toolkit.
It can read images on any format and
manage most of the scalar pixel types.

In most platforms (even Linux) it is difficult
to find an alternative viewer that is appropriate
for medical images. (e.g. take spacing into
account, display data ranges, zoom, read pixel
values with the mouse...)

Unfortunately the name of this application
makes think that it is specific to MetaImage
(in fact, this was the case long time ago)
and prevents people from using it for other
file types like Analyze, VTK, Gipl, Dicom...
etc



Does anybody have an objection for
renaming this app as "ImageViewer" ?

Or maybe "ItkImageViewer" ?

That could help to put forward the generality
of this viewer.
