A couple more things on this topic:

Please hold off on committing changes to ITK until we've resolved the
problems created by this import.

If anyone needs to make a fix to any file under the Utilities/vxl
directory, please send me the change by email so I can contribute it back
to VXL proper.  That way when we upgrade in the future we will not have to
make the same changes again.
