[Insight-developers] DICOM reader problem

I compiled the DICOMApp program that is included with the DICOM parser
code that Jim checked in, and ran it on several (four) DICOM files.
Judging from the code, it looks like some tags are supposed to be output
into a file with the name [old filename].header.txt. Some of those
tags, such as num rows/cols and pixel spacing, are certainly in the
files that I am trying it on.
It may be that none of the files are strictly compliant with the
standard (for two of them, I got a "magic number is incorrect" error),
but they came from commercial hardware and claim to be DICOM files.
The current itkDicomImageReader does acquire those tags from those
files, but it has problems of its own.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
