| Summary | 0001695: INSTALL_TARGETS runtime v. development files | ||||||||
| Description | Currently the INSTALL_TARGETS command has the RUNTIME_DIRECTORY option to distinguish between install location for .lib and .dll files on windows. When a project is installed there are three basic components: runtime, development, and documentation. In order to configure a project to install only the runtime components there needs to be a way to install the .dll without the .lib. We should add a feature of the INSTALL_TARGETS command to support this. | ||||||||

I'm assigning this to Andy because he is the install person. |

I'm assigning this bug to myself since I'm about to fix it. |

Bug#2691 requests a new installation framework. Enough of it has been created to fix this bug which I'm now closing. |
