Summary0012982: Misdetects endianess on mipsel
DescriptionHello,

it appears that CMake misdetects endianess on mipsel (MIPS little endian [1]) which triggers a failure of cmIML_ABI_ENDIAN_ID test on that architecture. See full build log [2] for more details.

As far as I know, MIPS machines are biendian hence they can run both big endian (Debian mips architecture) and little endian (Debian mipsel architecture) kernels.

Predefined macro dumps are in additional information section.

Preliminary patch is attached.

Note that Utilities/KWIML is maintained as its own project and included in CMake via a Git subtree merge. That's why it needs 2 commits to apply. Also, commit 4cbc21e8 is based on a version old enough that it can be merged into a branch started from v2.8.7 without bringing in anything else. I don't know if that's helpful for Debian to include the upstream version of the fix, but it doesn't hurt.
