We do not see this problem with the 32-bit, Qt 4.3.3 binary that is produced on dashmacmini2. But we do see this problem with 64-bit Qt 4.6.4 builds, including the ones on dashmacmini5. |

The fix for the related bug, 0009839, exposed this one. |

This Qt bug report could be the cause, or at least related: https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-20531 [^] From that bug report: "It also shows that the popup part is shown / hidden / shown / hidden ... on every key stroke." Do we happen to have code in CMake that assumes that when the popup part is hidden, we're done? |

We've tried a build with Qt 4.7.4 in which this problem appears to be gone... The next rc and/or the final release of CMake 2.8.6 should be built against that Qt for the 64-bit Mac installers. |

The 64-bit Mac binary for 2.8.6-rc4 is built against Qt 4.7.4, and this problem is gone... |
