 In fact this is not the only undocumented option:
  --help
  -V or --verbose
  --debug
  --version
  -R
  -B
  -P
  --patch
  --vendor

Is there a reason for that?
May be some of them are meant to be "internals"

Is it worth a thorough update of cmDocumentationOptions ?
I may provide and/or apply a patch for that.

 I just pushed a fix for this bug on a stage branch:

To git@cmake.org:stage/cmake.git
 * [new branch] HEAD -> ImproveCPackDoc

The branch is not merged to next [yet] because I'm working on the beginning
of 0010067 and intend to push them às whole.

 Unset target version field; too late for a fix to go into 2.8.7; deferred until a future version.

Even if the branch is not finished and would not probably be before 2.8.7.
It's beginning is ok for merging to next.

In fact all commits of the branch but this one:
aa7fc6f6daad2ff6300f2957056533e7e6a2bfab
may be merged to next.

Would you like me to create a new branch which only contains
finished or probably side-effect free work?

At least 0010134 may be closed.
0010067 will definitely wait.

 Eric,

No worries. We'll just put it in 2.8.8 when it's ready. This is a long-standing unresolved issue. One more release is not going to make a big difference on this one... Thanks.
