[Paraview] RE animations

Hi Alan,

I commited the ForceTime plugin in CVS.
It is not built by defaut, you have to turn the
PARAVIEW_BUILD_PLUGIN_ForceTime cmake variable to ON to build it.

Once built and loaded, you will see a new entry in the Filter/Temporal
menu called "Force Time".
This filter has two properties :
Ignore Pipeline Time : if unchecked, this filters does nothing, time
requests are passed through and the second parameter is ignored.
Forced Time : if the above is checked, the time specified here will
override the time requests in the pipeline.

To use it to create an animation : place it at the end of the pipeline for
which you want to have a particular time evolution (independent from the
global one), and add a new animation track where you can animate the
ForcedTime value as you need.

This plugin as some limitations : as it overrides the VTK time requests,
it does not work well with time-aware filters such as PathLines and
PlotOverTime. You should never place it above such a filter in a pipeline.

Stephane

[Paraview] animations

Is it possible to open two windows, and have one view of my dataset not
animate, but have the second view of the same dataset animate? Is it
possible to have the first only animate half way then stop, while the
second continues to animate? This would be for saving animations.

Thanks,

Alan
