[Paraview-developers] volume rendering in parallel not good

Using git master from today,
Creating a wavelet on 16 cores and rendering using the ray caster gives bad results. The gaps between processes are visible, but more significantly, there are visible artefacts that shimmer/move around. They're not very clear in this image, but appear as dark blue pixels which should not be there.

Are there any known issues I should be aware of. I can see how a volume render might treat volumes without ghost data as discontinuous and cause a pixel wide gap - is this the case - are there any other issues I should be looking out for.

thanks

JB

[NB. Building paraview was very painful as there are many new link problems caused by vtkzlib not being pulled in by modules and I had to manually add them to a handful of projects - I am using cmake 1.8.12 which changes link_interface stuff, so maybe this is a manifestation of much pain to come as people upgrade]
