I am not an image-processing expert so I don't know if this overlaps 
with things already available in ITK but the example images are pretty 
impressive; the examples he gives are of noise reduction, image 
inpainting (using a mask to replace elements of an image), and image 
resizing -- particularly upsampling.

It's Open Source with a license based on (or compatible with) GPL, 
meaning that it's not compatible with the ITK license.
