Summary0009347: CMake treats D: and d: different in add_subdirectory
Descriptionin CMake 2.6.4 there is a small issue which gives the following error:

CMake Error at utilities/CMakeLists.txt:1 (add_subdirectory):
  add_subdirectory not given a binary directory but the given source
  directory
  "D:/kderoot/svn/tags/amarok/2.1.1/amarok/utilities/collectionscanner" is
  not a subdirectory of "d:/kderoot/svn/tags/amarok/2.1.1/amarok/utilities".
  When specifying an out-of-tree source a binary directory must be explicitly
  specified.

it can be fixed if the source path is set to D:/kderoot instead of d:/kderoot.
the call to cmake looks like that:
cmake -G "..." d:/kderoot/svn/tags/amarok/2.1.1/amarok/ .....

 Please post a small example project (CMakeLists.txt files) that reproduces this problem.
