Summary | 0006158: Binary CMake distribution on Mac OS X should install in /usr/local not /usr
Description | The summary says it all really. /usr is full of all kinds of stuff that comes with the OS and /usr/local is empty by default. It's way less messy if CMake would put itself in /usr/local. This is the norm with other software.

The problem is that /usr/local is not in the default path. So you would install cmake, and it would not work without a modification to your setup. |
