| Summary | 0001914: SNL: Volume rendering does not work correctly on vector data | ||||||||||||
| Description | When you color by a vector field in 'surface' mode. ParaView colors by the magnitude of that vector field by default. When you switch on volume rendering you get a very dark volume rendering. If I use the calc to compute a scalar field of mag(V) then is works fine. Would like the default behavior for volume rendering a vector field to be very much like surface rendering.... render the magnitude by default and then let user choose components if they want. | ||||||||||||

Okay, based on conversation with Amy...skip computing the magnitudes. Please have a vector field just default to the x component as the field to volume render. The user also needs to be able to select the x,y, or z component to volume render on. |
