[vtkusers] transform vtk polydata

hi all.

So I have used Elastix (extention of ITK: http://elastix.isi.uu.nl/) to do a
transformation on dicom images and have done this succesfully

I have segmented a vessel in these images as well and want to apply the same
transformation. Is there a way to concert the vtk file to a itk supported
format within Python? Or is there a way to apply the same transformation?
Elastix works a bit different then itk, but I have an ouput file with the
data
