[vtkusers] QVTK Widget odd behavior on Ubuntu 16.10 and NVidia GPU:

Hi,
I have a small Qt+VTK project here for my students:
https://bitbucket.org/spir_robert/qt-vtk-widgets
Master branch has QVTKOpenGLWidget and QVTKWidget branch has QVTKWidget.
Both of them works fine in linux, windows and MacOS with Qt 5.9 and VTK 8.

Unfortunately, the program crashes on my Ubuntu platform upon rendering.
That is, it segfaults at

Where the render window is an instance of vtkGenericOpenGLRenderWindow.

Any thoughts?
